VISHING ALERT
A number of our associates received automated phone calls purportedly from MEFCU telling them that their VISA card has been suspended. The message gives instructions to press a button on the phone's touch pad to reach the MEFCU Security Department. This message is a fraudulent attempt to get our members personal account information by phone, i.e., vishing.
If you receive a similar message, DO NOT RESPOND! Contact our Member Services Department at 1-800-821-7280 if you need assistance or if you ever receive a call from MEFCU that you question.

Knowing Your Account Number Helps You Protect Your Account
In order to protect your privacy, we ask that when you make inquiries regarding your MEFCU account(s) in writing, or over the telephone, that you use your member number to identify yourself. By referencing your member number in your mail and telephone communications, it helps us to safely expedite your inquiry. Please note that you should never send your member number via email, as email is not a secure form of communication.
If you do not know your member number, you can find it on your most recent statement, or in your Welcome packet received at the opening of your MEFCU Account.
We want to thank you for your cooperation in helping us to better serve you.
